In the United States, the love of cheeseburgers started in the 1920s and has been going strong ever since. American cheese, fresh ground beef, crisp lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles on a toasted bun – what’s not to love? The cheeseburger is a classic American food and there are many ways to make them.

Whether you like your burgers grilled, fried, with bacon, or smothered in sauce, there is a cheeseburger out there for you. In this blog, we will explore some of the different ways to make a cheeseburger, as well as some of the best places to get one (of course that would be Bronco’s here in Omaha). So let’s get started!

A cheeseburger is a hamburger topped with cheese. Traditionally, the cheese is placed on top of the patty, but the burger can also include cheese in the patty or as a bottom bun. American cheese is the most common type of cheese used on cheeseburgers, but other types, such as cheddar, Swiss, and pepper jack, are also popular.

Cheeseburgers are often served with french fries, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. They can also be served with other condiments, such as our famous Bronco Sauce, or another favorite here, our specially prepared barbecue sauce- more on that in a future blog. Fresh ground beef is the most common type of meat used for cheeseburgers.

Whether you like your cheeseburgers plain or with all the fixings, there’s no denying that cheeseburgers are one of the most delicious foods around. So, what are you waiting for? Get out there and enjoy a delicious cheeseburger today!  Maybe swing into Bronco’s for lunch or dinner and check out any of our all beef burgers WITH the cheese (as Larry The Cable Guy says).
