Celebrate International Bacon Day With Our BIG S.O.B.

INTERNATIONAL BACON DAY | First Saturday in September

Bacon Backstory (National Calendar)

Bacon is pork cured in salt made from cuts of the belly or back of a pig. Curing pork dates back thousands of years. During ancient times, Chinese, Egyptian, and Roman cultures all had methods for preserving pork. However, Romans recieve credit for sharing their knowledge of curing pork calling their bacon “petaso.” As cured pork expanded throughout Europe, the meat became a staple to families because of the ability to preserve it easily.

European settlers brought their pork curing techniques to America the same time the first settlers arrived. However, the meat was much saltier and leaner than what they would eat in Europe. During the 19th and 20th centuries, meat production began to expand to the general public. Brining and smoking bacon became widely acceptable in mass production, making the distribution of bacon much easier. Today, bacon plays a significant roll in American cuisine.

It’s our largest burger yet and one we know you’re going to enjoy.  We added it to our menu a few weeks ago, and our customers really love it.  We don’t see many ordering more than one at a time though, unlike our other best known burgers like the Big Bronco, Double Cheeseburger or Big Pony.

The BIG S.O.B. is exactly that.  It’s a TRIPLE CHEESEBURGER with Sautéed Onions and LOTS OF BACON!

Come on by and order one yourself and see what everyone’s talking about.  Or better yet, silence those hunger pains for the entire day by ordering a BIG S.O.B. Combo Meal.

Did you know you can add bacon to ANY burger or sandwich at Bronco’s?  And not just bacon, you can add cheese (or extra cheese), a burger patty (or extra burger patties), and even a fried egg.  Just let us know when you order and we’ll make your Bronco’s meal special just for you.
