Americans will once again honor the memory and message of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through a national Day of Service, led by the Corporation for National and Community Service, on January 16th, 2023.
Dr. King once said, “Life’s most urgent and persistent question is: what are you doing for others?” He challenged us to build a more perfect union and taught us that everyone has a role to play in making America what it ought to be. All these years later, we still have work to do to realize Dr. King’s dream of economic opportunity for all. The needs are great, many Americans are hurting, and government can’t do it alone. We need citizens to help renew our nation though service – on the King Holiday, and throughout the year.
