Happy Labor Day 2023

It’s hard to believe summer is “almost” over and it’s Labor Day.  Kids are back in school, and the weather is starting to cool.  Sort of.

Enjoy your extra day off, and the shorter work week.  We’ve got a parade, and of course the annual SeptemberFest with all kinds of fun here in Omaha in celebration of Labor Day.

Things to do September 6th:

  1. SeptemberFest Labor Day Parade – starts at 10 am.  Honor Guards, Marching Bands, Floats, Horses, Critters, Clowns and more downtown Omaha.
  2. The Omahawks Labor Day Air Show – Make-A-Wish Benefit: 11:00 am-4 pm.  Just a little different than the annual air show hosted by the Air Force at Offutt AFB, this is an airshow of radio-controlled planes.  Benefiting the Make A Wish foundation, these operators will thrill you with their aerobatics skills.

Dozens of awesome airplanes, food to buy, all net proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish Nebraska!

Float Fly and Combat (check out the video!) Photos Posted. Click Here to view them.

      – Location: Hawk Field at Standing Bear Lake Park near 138th & Fort Streets.
