Happy Labor Day 2021

It’s hard to believe summer is “almost” over and it’s Labor Day.  Kids are back in school, or will be tomorrow for some, and the weather is starting to cool.  Sort of.

Enjoy your extra day off, and the shorter work week.  We’ve got a parade, an air show and all kinds of fun here in Omaha in celebration of Labor Day.  And, if you’re in the mood for a road trip, the Nebraska State Fair is still kicking out west.  There’s still time!

Things to do September 6th:

  1. SeptemberFest Labor Day Parade – starts at 10 am.  Honor Guards, Marching Bands, Floats, Horses, Critters, Clowns and more downtown Omaha.
  2. The Omahawks Labor Day Air Show – 11:45 am-4 pm.  Just a little different than the annual air show hosted by the Air Force at Offutt AFB, this is an airshow of radio-controlled planes.  Benefiting the Make A Wish foundation, these operators will thrill you with their aerobatics skills.
      – Food, Drinks & a Raffle
      – Location: Hawk Field at Standing Bear Lake Park near 138th & Fort Streets.
